Studio loft space is the hallmark of the visual arts building; building floor to floor heights are 14’ clear with open glass block windows that open to a small quadrangle. A large rotunda anchors the corner of the main quadrangle of the University and provides the visual arts with a significant presence in the academic core of the campus. The new building includes studio teaching space for painting, printing, photography and communication arts with a lecture and auditorium on the first floor. A gallery on the first floor links to the existing gallery space to the east while the open loggia at the base of the building acts as a front porch to the arts.
