MARK CHEN, AIA
Mark Chen is currently Senior Vice President and Director of Design at Heery International in Atlanta Georgia. He is responsible for leading and managing 200 architects and engineers in 5 locations around the US including Atlanta, Orlando, Iowa City, Denver and Philadelphia. He is a recognized master planner and architect on commercial, corporate, higher education and healthcare projects including:
A graduate of Harvard University Master of Architecture and the Cornell University Bachelor of Architecture; he has had his own practice in New York City, Mark Chen Architect, a Principal and Director of Design at Perkins and Will and Hillier (now RMJM).
He has won a number of awards including a Progressive Architecture Citation for the Pediatric Aids Clinic at Bronx Lebanon Hospital and an Boston Society for Architects AIA award for Sharon Hospital.
His work has been published in Architectural Record and Progressive Architecture. He has spoken at the New York Chapter AIA, Designers Saturday and International Building Congress.
He has taught at Harvard University, Rhode Island School of Design, SyracuseUniversity and the New York Institute of Technology.
Mark Chen is a member of the American Institute of Architects, LEED accredited professional and registered across the United States.
